35TH ANNUAL TROPICAL NIGHT LUAU COMING IN JUNE
Less than two months to go until the 35th Annual Tropical Night Luau. The Youth Guidance fundraiser will be held Saturday, June 2, 7-11pm, at the Quail Valley River Club, 2345 A1A, Vero Beach. Riverfront dining, dancing, mingling and tropical rhythms are some of the highlights of this exciting evening partygoers look forward to all year long.
The Brass Evolution band will provide live music and island cuisine, a cash bar and an auction will be part of this fun-filled night. In addition, steel drums and leis will add to the mood of the event. Tropical attire is encouraged for guests. Tickets are $75 per person if purchased by May 31 ($85 thereafter) and can be purchased by calling the Youth Guidance office, 772-770-5040, or visiting www.ircyouth.com. Proceeds will provide summer camp scholarships and year-round programming for the children in Youth Guidance.
The mission of Youth Guidance is to match each of its nearly 700 at-risk K-12 grade children with a volunteer mentor 21 years or older and keep youth engaged in positive educational, cultural and recreational year-round activities. The agency is actively seeking volunteers to serve as mentors, tutors, or periodic volunteers at ongoing activities for the unmatched children in the program, or to provide regular help in the office. Youth Guidance is also looking for partnerships with businesses, service clubs and church groups to pair with their unmatched children for just one activity a year.
